The Vietnam war was one of the most unpopular wars among the American citizens during the 20th century. In the late 1960's, America comes together in some of the biggest protests in US history.
Amazingly, these peace movements started out small, and in the interest of the people. They started in small groups of middle class citizens, college students, and labor unions. Most demonstrations started in small gatherings and college campuses. Eventually they moved to historical landmarks in the nations capital. Shortly after protests gained national influence in 1965, and was at its finest in 1968. These protests shaped the future of America and changed the nation in incredible ways. Despite its more powerful points, the protests remained continuous throughout the war. It pulled all of America together and set aside racial and cultural differences that were very prominent during the 1960's.
